Product Information
Thermostable Alpha-Amylase
Thermostable Alpha-amylase
is manufactured by fermentation process with selected strain belonging
to bacillus licheniformis.
Action
The enzyme hydrolyses 1,4-alpha glycosidic linkages of starch
at high temperature. Starch is therefore broken down rapidly to
soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides. Liquefaction time is prolonged,
and small amount of dextrose and maltose are produced.
Application range
It is widely used for the liquefaction of starch, alcohol, beer,
sugar, textile etc.
Activity
Liquid: 10,000u/ml,20,000u/ml,30,000u/ml
One unit of enzyme activity is defined as the amount of enzyme
which dextrinize 1.0mg of soluble starch under prescribed conditions:
Reaction time: 60 minutes
Temperature: 70℃
PH: 6.0
Characteristics
1) Brown liquid
2) Thermal activity
Optimum operation temperature: over 90℃. Liquefy drastically during
95-97℃. Activity still maintains at 100℃. Instantaneous temperature
may reach 105-110℃ during liquefaction.
3) PH activity
Stable between 5.5-8.0. Optimum operation pH: 6.0-6.5.
4) Concentration of Calcium iron
The enzyme is not critical for the presence of calcium iron. Keep
50-70 ppm concentration of Calcium iron is enough.
Packing
Plastic drum packing, 25kg Net Weight standard
Storage
Strong sun and high temperature will cause enzyme to loose activity.
Should kept in cool and dry place, avoid direct sun shining.
